from Tamara Parraguez

Tamara Parraguez, Founder of Love & Fear and the alumna of our Design Leaders programme, shared her favourite projects from this year's main design event.

Realia

Author: Sabrina Ratté

@sabrina_ratte

'It's a very interesting exhibition. It really makes you wonder what the role of design and art is when it comes to creating the next generation of content and our relationship with nature.'

Trattoria

Authors: Bitossi Home & Sugo Milano

@bitossihome, @sugo_milano

'Bitossi is one of my favourite Italian brands. For this time, they joined Sugo, a little restaurant, a trattoria in the city centre. They just created a very friendly space. It's more than an exhibition. They bring to life the brand. The lunch was delicious. They are making people feel their brand with all the senses: vision, audio, taste, touch. Very simple activation, but at the same time, it's so well done.'

Making the Invisible Visible

Authors: Google team and Lachlan Turczan

@googledesign @lachlanturczan

'They made light visible, untouchable. They made it fun. Truly immersive experience where you are able to play with the concept that they're using to create the products. It's always mind-blowing what you can do in an empty space and a good idea.'

New Perspectives Scandinavian Design

Authors: Muuto

@muutodesign

'You will get impacted by the colours and how vibrant the spaces they created are. They are approaching interior design and the design of furniture and objects from an emotional place. They are wondering what will this make people feel and what people want to feel.'

Library of Light

Author: Es Devlin

@esdevlin

'Sometimes, we just forget in a very digital world how the touch we are from the fact of reading paper. This installation brings us back to the thought that it's more than just gaining knowledge. It's about the stories, the power of narration, the key point when it comes to creativity.'

House of Switzerland

Presented by: Prohelvetia, Presence Switzerland

@prohelvetia_design

'A collaboration of universities and design departments from Switzerland, who bring to Milan the best of Swiss design. They are repositioning what true collaboration means. They have a lot of different designers who are together in this idea of imagining continuously a better future for all of us.'

Alchemica & Appartamento Spagnolo

Authors: Patricia Urquiola, Calvi Brambilla and Partners, Elle Decor Italia

@patricia_urquiola, @calvibrambilla, @elledecoritalia

'Alchemica and Appartamento Spagnolo are two exhibitions about the future of living. It has a lot of nostalgia from the seventies, but at the same time, it brings a lot of deepness in the colours and the textures. If I will have to describe it, it's a very good, strong Italian wine. Lots of personality, passion, play around organic shapes. It represents the need that we have today to dream a little bit more.'
