It starts with selecting the right 30 people to spend a year together.
It’s hard because we have a few thousand applications every year. So how do we choose the right ones? Apart from assessing the seniority (we look for 15+ years of experience) and creative background (we see it very broadly – from Product Design, Branding and Advertising, to Interior, Architecture and Fashion), we look for 2 important things:
▶︎ We look for people who are driven. So during the interview process, we try to understand if a person’s goals align with what the programme will unlock for them in the next year and beyond.
▶︎ We look for very special humans. Beyond the impressive CVs and professional achievements everyone brings to the cohort, we look for something special each person would add. You can call it our magic sauce.
Now, how do you curate the year-long learning experience to make this cohort of high-achievers graduates not only with a strong network of work collaborators but also best friends for life?
Here are some highlights of what we do to make it happen.
Each module, we are hosting a unique selection of sensorial experiences to give you time to process the learnings, have informal chats with your cohort and look at leadership from a different angle. Whether it's a bread-making masterclass or archery training, you will use all of your creative senses while bonding with your peers on a different level.

London is always buzzing with culture. Whether you’re a fan of Wes Anderson movies, Schiaparelli fashion, West End musicals or all at once, you’ll always find things to do with your cohort. To make the choice easier, each module, we curate a list of cultural moments you can’t miss, so you can make the most out of your time in London together.
To give you space for more private, one-on-one conversations with your peers while enjoying some delicious food, we reserve tables for small groups in London’s top restaurants. These dinners become a special time for you to share personal stories, professional aspirations and very human challenges.
The conversations with your peers go far beyond the classroom with the cohort’s private WhatsApp group you join when the programme starts. There, you can share insights and extra resources or ask for support between the modules. These groups stay very active long after the programme finishes, with learning never stopping, as well as international reunions being organised.
Following Bauhaus traditions, we host high-concept and wildly creative end-of-the-module parties to fuel your artistic experimentation. Dress it up and enjoy your time together with your new friends one last time before you leave for the break after each module.
So, after spending a transformative year together, you graduate the Executive Programme for Design Leaders not only with a global network of potential business partners, collaborators and advisors but also with a trusted circle of friends, who will keep pushing, supporting and cheering for each other for the rest of your lives. 💛
